Welcome to my first post. I am married to my wonderful husband Bruce and have 2 lovely girls, Ashleigh and Courtney. I am a home based child educator and in my spare time I love crafting. When my girls were younger I loved doing sewing and patchwork but as the girls got older my spare time became less and less and my passion went on hold. More recently I became interested in card making and scrapbooking and became a demonstrator for a scrapbooking company. Last year my friends sister in law came to New Zealand to live and I have developed a great friendship with Lou and she has re-kindled my patchwork passion. Thanks Lou, I really love being able to share my passion with you and learn from your wonderful knowledge.
I wanted to get this blog up and running but in the next couple of days I will post some photos of my projects.
Welcome to the world of blogging Debbie. I hope that you find it as welcoming and friendly as I did when I first began. I have made some lovely friends along the way and received a huge amount of advice and encouragement, no matter what I'm working/stuck on be it my sewing or in life. Looking forward to those pictures. Pictures are a must on each post, even if you think you don't have a picture to share, pop out into the garden and show your flowers or your latest crop of fruit, show a picture of a mistake or a problem. You'll know you are a real blogger when you can't leave the house without the camera, just in case!

ReplyDeleteHi Debbie
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the wonderful world of blogging. As Loulee said, a dedicated blogger always has a camera at the ready. In my case, tucked into my handbag, or popped in my pocket for more casual encounters.
It will be fun for the two of you to be doing a project together, and you will both be able to blog about it, from your own personal points of view. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
Jenny

ReplyDeleteI think you'll find it fun to Blog. Your gain is our loss in some ways....Lou coming to NZ ( that happens when you marry a Kiwi ) means we no longer get Isle of Man photos. Never mind, we are enjoying her discovering of the South. I think you have a very nice friend there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your message Ali. It is so lovely having Lou here to share my interest. She has really re-inspired me. Looking forward to blogging and reading everyone elses.
